Both of these milestones came SO quickly!

I remember we took our first road trip with baby to celebrate his 6 month birthday a little early, towards the end of August. We went to Greensboro, NC to visit my sister cousin friend [same person whom I had to visit to get my life right after learning I was pregnant] . We also went to the awesome Greensboro Science Center thinking our boy would love the aquarium, zoo and museum! He was about to turn 6 months old- barely crawling lol - we did have a great time though!
We took advantage of this trip to have a date! We dropped -off baby, with my sister cousin friend, took a walk around downtown Greensboro and had an amazing night at Fat Tuesdays. One of the days there we also spent time with family and ate at Dame’s Chicken and Waffle #community, of course we also had a photo shoot! And Momma scored some Mother Butter from Luxe Fragrance Bar #selfcare
The world was still open and nothing cancelled because of Covid so when we came back we hosted a half birthday party at Hains Point for the fam #community ! We couldn’t keep all the love and excitement to ourselves of having this bundle of joy for 6 months. Since we already expended a bit of energy traveling this was a bring your own everything kind of shindig. We had a big tent and balloons so we were easy to spot. I attempted a month by month photo thing but the wind was not helping.
All in all we lowkey did the most for baby 6 month celebration lol. Let’s fast forward to his first birthday, we took it down a notch.
His first birthday party and baby blessing was hosted at my parents house in the beginning of March. My Aunt catered for us and I stopped by the house the day before to put up light decorations and print out some puzzles and word search games for the guests. The theme was Baby Safari and it was super cute. We had a slideshow of baby pictures going on the tv. A homemade smash cake for baby to crumble up and a Wegman’s cake for the guests!
