I am a millennial African-American woman, from P.G. County, MD, first time mom, who loves to indulge in the things that make me happy! Natural  hair and body care, live music, hanging with family and friends- just to name a few.

After getting over the shock of learning I was pregnant- I decided I wanted to have the most natural birth experience I could have. As the millennial I am, I casually googled all the things I thought I needed to know to equip me for this journey, come to find out there was little to no information displayed from the black woman's perspective. So I created this blog to be an outlet for me and hoped to connect with others who had similar experiences.

That was 3 years ago, I have used my experience to fuel how I impact others, by bringing change into the world, one family at a time. I have answered the call to birthwork and provide doula support and human rights advocacy throughout the DMV.
